Romero Games’ prohibition era crime empire sim game Empire of Sin has had a hot new release date confirmed. The game will be coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC and Mac on 1st December.
Set in 1920’s Chicago, you build up a criminal empire to call your own, balancing management with wading into turn-based tactical battles as you seek to dominate the neighbourhood. It’s a deeply systemic game, with lots of depth to the characters you can recruit and their relationships. You can set people up, manipulate your enemies and chart your rise up to rule the underworld of the city.
Originally planned for a release back in spring, the game was delayed in February until this autumn. It’s obviously slipped just a little bit further – I’m sure we can blame you-know-what for that – and is now out this winter. Perfect to get you in the mood for tramping around The Windy City, smuggling bootleg booze, setting up brothels and more under the nose of the law.
While the game is only coming to current-gen platforms, don’t forget that it will be 100% playable on the upcoming next-gen consoles. Both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S feature extensive support for backward compatibility to the current machines.
