We are big fans of totally unrelated products based on video games here at TSA, who doesn’t want a Crash Bandicoot scented candle, so we are very happy to report that you will soon be able to purchase sunscreen based on your favourite Pokémon.
Cosmetics manufacturer Anessa has created six themed sunscreens and they will go on sale on March 21st, but only in China and Japan so you may have to hunt around on the internet if you want to grab a bottle. The bottles feature Pikachu, Eevee, Charmander, Squirtle, Jigglypuff, and Psyduck, but all contain the same factor-50 sunscreen. Eevee, Pikachu, and Squirtle will be heading to Japan, while Pikachu, Squirtle, Psyduck, and Jigglypuff will only be available in China.

This Pokémon won’t get sunburn.
As you might imagine, the adverts for the themed sunscreens are just nuts, you can watch them here, and the official site for the products can be found here.
The Pokémon video game series is heading in a brand new direction with a new game set in the Sinnoh region: Pokémon Legends Arceus, stepping back in time to well before the modern era and giving us a much more open world adventure. The game will be coming to Nintendo Switch in early 2022.
The next mainline game being developed by Game Freak, it features a different approach to creating a Pokémon game than before.
The game takes place in Sinnoh region from Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, but jumps far, far back in time to before there were Pokémon Leagues and Pokémon Trainers. The game features Rowlet, Cyndaquill and Oshawatt as the starter Pokémon that you can choose, having been brought to the region by a visiting professor who’s eager to discover more about this region’s wildlife.
The game is set in a village which will act as a hub for your adventures out into the wider world to construct the world’s first Pokédex.

The story will revolve in some way around the legendary Pokémon Arceus, who is said to have shaped the region. How it features is obviously being kept under wraps for the time being. Will it tie into the events of later games somehow? We’ll just have to wait and see.
The game was announced during The Pokémon Company’s 25th anniversary stream, during which Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl were announced as remakes of the Nintendo DS classics from 15 years ago. Those titles will release in late 2021, giving Poké-fans a bit of a Poké-fix before the exciting new form that Pokémon Legends Arceus will take in 2022.
