The totally real and actually happening video game An Airport for Aliens Currently Run by Dogs (AKA Dog Airport Game) is coming to Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam on 25th May 2021, it’s been announced by one-man microstudio Strange Scaffold. If you weren’t already sold on the game after reading its title, here’s a trailer to explain what it’s all about (spoilers: it’s about an alien airport that’s being run by dogs).
An Airport for Aliens Currently Run by Dogs is quite simple: you’re looking to catch an interstellar flight from this airport to go and meet your internet fiancé on the other side of the galaxy. The problem? Well, you don’t have a clue what this alien language is. Thankfully, the airport is being run by creatures that are inherently friendly toward you.
Dog after dog after stock photo dog can be found in this airport – also some cats and secret bears, but it’s the dogs that seem to be in control. You can pet dogs (with infinite hands), you can ask for (and get) 50 tickets for your flight instead of just one, you can withdraw infinite money from ATMs, because dogs don’t care about money. It sounds pretty great.
That’s not all though, because there’s actually six dog-managed airports to visit, there’s ‘Bribe Dog’ – a dog who loves bribes, awkward conversations, gigantic coffee cups and much, much more.
Who let these dogs out, to go and run alien airports? Well, there’s no explanation for that point in the game trailer, but who knows if we’ll get an answer later this spring. The game’s been crafted by Xalavier Nelson Jr., the narrative lead behind Space Warlord Organ Trading Simulator, Hypnospace Outlaw, and SkateBIRD. Last October, he decided to sponsor the truly wild Blaseball to promote the game.
