GetsuFumaDen: Undying Moon announced by Konami, comes to Steam Early Access in May

Konami has announced a brand new game today and that game is GetsuFumaDen: Undying Moon, a 2D action title. The game is coming to Steam Early Access on May 13th, and will eventually makes it way to the Nintendo Switch in 2022. The early access price is $24.99 / €24.99 / £19.99. GetsuFumaDen: Undying Moon is essentially a resurrection of the classic Famicom title GetsuFumaDen which released in 1987.


GetsuFuMaden is being developed by GuruGuru and published by Konami. Shin Murato, Producer of GetsuFumaDen: Undying Moon at Konami Digital Entertainment Co. said:

Having an Early Access period gives us a great opportunity to build a community for GetsuFumaDen and ensure the game is as strong as possible. Throughout this period, we want to utilise user feedback and foster an active discussion to increase the quality of the game. We will work very closely with our community to help bring this game to life through content review, bug fixes, and balancing. Our focus is on Early Access at the moment; we will share more details about Nintendo Switch in the future.”

The story of GetsuFumaDen is set in a world where the gates of Hell have opened after 1000 years of peace, unleashing hordes of demons upon the world. Getsu Fuma is the main character and he is the leader of his clan. As leader he risks it all to find a way to send the demons back before the world is consumed and everything collapses. The only way to stop the horde is to venture into Hell.
