The Microsoft and Bethesda showcase has revealed another new game and one I am particularly excited for as it’s a sequel to A Plague Tale: Innocence. The new game is called A Plague Tale: Requiem and has a trailer filled with rats streaming down the streets of medieval Paris. We also get to see Hugo, who seems to a few years older than he was in the first game, and the voice over is given by Amica.
Rumours that Asobo Studio was working on a sequel to A Plague Tale: Innocence surfaced back in 2019 on Xbox Squad who were told of the sequel by someone at Focus Home Interactive. At the time the source said there was ‘going to be a bit of a wait with an announcement’ and that turned out to be true. The game has only be announced for Xbox and PC and will be on Xbox Game Pass from day one, but rumours the game is also coming to PlayStation and Nintendo Switch via the cloud.
Another rumour suggests that a next-gen remaster of A Plague Tale: Innocence is also in production and will be included with PlayStation Plus for July on PS5. Asobo have been hard at work on Microsoft Flight Simulator so they may have handed the remaster work off to another studio.
In our review of A Plague Tale: Innocence I wrote:
A Plague Tale: Innocence proves that feisty young women are the new heroes of single player narrative adventures, and Amicia can proudly stand alongside Aloy and Senua. Asobo Studios have knocked it out of the park with a compelling story, superb graphics, and excellent music. Loved it.

This is the best announcement of E3 yet for me, looking forward to the next chapter in the tale of Hugo and Amica!
