The Outer Worlds 2 announced, will be an Xbox console exclusive

The Outer Worlds 2 has been announced by Obsidian Entertainment, and it will be a console exclusive for Xbox. This should not be a surprise considering Microsoft now owns Obsidian. The Outer Worlds 2 is also expected on PC. There is not much detail regarding The Outer Worlds 2 aside from the exclusivity. You can watch the trailer, which does not show anything from the game, below.

Microsoft took over all publishing duties of The Outer Worlds franchise last month, taking over from Private Division which had published the original game as well as The Outer Worlds’ DLC expansions. The Outer Worlds released in 2019 to high praise, not long after Microsoft acquired developer Obsidian Entertainment.  The studio is also hard at work on other projects that are Microsoft exclusives, namely Grounded (which is currently in Game Preview), and the upcoming next-gen exclusive Avowed.
