Escape from a horrific spider train in Choo-Choo Charles, coming to Steam

I am sure we’ve all seen the mods for games like Skyrim or Resident Evil 2 where the main bad guy model has been replaced by that of Thomas the Tank Engine. Two Star Games have taken the next logical step and made a train the official monster for their game Choo-Choo Charles and it’s rather horrific. It has a nasty, toothy clown smile and is not limited to travelling on tracks as it has spider legs to scuttle across the hills. Eww.

Check out the trailer.

“Navigate an island in an old train, upgrade it over time, and use it to fight an evil sentient train that terrorizes your home,” say Two Star Games. “Charles is hungry; don’t be his next meal.”

In Choo-Choo Charles you’re given the task of eradicating a monster known by the locals as “Charles”. Nobody knows where he came from, but they know why; to eat the flesh of puny humans. You have a small yellow train, with a map, mounted machine gun, and an exquisite collection of bobble-heads on the dashboard. You’ll use this train to get from place to place, while you complete missions for the townspeople, or loot scraps from around the island. Over time you’ll use your scraps to upgrade your train’s speed, armor, and damage. You’ll grow your arsenal, and (hopefully) become an unstoppable force, ready to take on the great and mighty Charles.

While you explore the island you can pick up scrap which helps armour your own train, and meet Settlers who may give you high powered weapons, and other items vital to Charles’ destruction. You will have to carefully plan your route across the island and be very careful when heading out on foot as Charles may be hiding over the next hill.

You can wish list Choo-Choo Charles right now on Steam, and the game has a target release date of Q1 2022.  Hopefully Charles will cross over and added as DLC to Train Life!
