Sony has kicked off their PlayStation Black Friday sale for 2021, offering a wide range of deep discounts on games on the PlayStation Store and the PlayStation Direct store. Subscribers will also be overjoyed at the prospect of topping up their PS Plus subs at 33% off the regular price.
The sale is live now, running until 29th November across the PlayStation Store, PlayStation Direct for physical products, and PlayStation Gear for merch.
Quickly skimming through the PlayStation Store, there’s a few offers that immediately jump off the page. Recently released PS5 exclusive Deathloop has been slashed by 50% to just £30, there’s 35% off Guardians of the Galaxy to get it to £39, Lost Judgment is down to £35, Watch Dogs: Legion is down to £21, and Outriders for £20 and Hitman 3 for £22.
If you’re after some big first party games on PS5, then brace yourself for mild disappointment. Demon’s Souls and Death Stranding Director’s Cut are over £40, while Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart and Returnal are all over £50 still. Sony say this sale is full of unmissable deals, but I can personally give those deals a miss when Ratchet & Clank is going on offer for just £25 at Tesco. Buy it twice!
Regular PlayStation online gamers will definitely want to pick up a new PlayStation Plus subscription, though. A 33% discount brings a 12 month subscription down to £33.32, down from the regular £49.99 price.

Some good deals in there, I guess. May just have to get Resident Evil Village for £23.64 (seriously, can they not just use sensible prices? Round them off to £23.49 or £23.99? That 64p annoys me)
For anyone who hasn’t played them before, or maybe hasn’t played the remasters, the Kingdom Hearts “All-In-One Pack” is a bit of a bargain for £22.49, with 7 games and the videos from 3 others.
And while PS+ gets a decent saving (more than usual – it was £35 last year and £37.50 back in June or whenever), the PS Now saving is a bit shit. 33% off! But only the monthly subscription. Still cheaper to buy a year.

Surely sensible prices would be £23.50 or £24? I can’t see why the 64p would annoy you but 49 and 99 wouldn’t ?
You’re also better off buying the PS+ sub from shopto with code ‘extraten’ bringing it just below £30.

Oh no..! I hardly find time to work on my backlog, and now this… ?
Deathloop is tempting, and some of the over 1000 indie titles on sale. Thank God the store is so rubbish to navigate and makes it difficult to find stuff, otherwise I’d probably build up my backlog even more.

Shopto is still slightly better on the discounts than the site you’ve posted, and they’re reliable. Personally, I use gamivo whenever there’s a good 20-30% off knocking about and never had any problems with them, though I’ve heard some people have had trouble with it before (I redeem them straight away).
