Gameplay footage of the Halo Infinite Forge mode has reportedly been leaked ahead of its official reveal by developer 343 Industries.

Videos sourced from Twitter user InfiniteLeaks seem to show the placement of various assets within Halo Infinite’s maps. For lapsed Halo fans – or those perhaps new to the FPS franchise – Forge is a set of tools that allows players to modify maps then share their creations. It’s unclear how InfiniteLeaks has gained access to this mode with Microsoft and 343 yet to comment on the footage.

In the screenshots above, you can clearly see the custom editor UI, listing a number of Halo Infinite Forge features that can be modified such as lighting, effects, and time of day. As in past iterations of Forge (originating in Halo 3) you can also freely place props, structures, and other gameplay elements. The source for this leak is continuing to post shots and footage of Forge assets, some of which may hint at what’s next for Halo Infinite. Although convincing, nothing has been verified.
Despite being a fan favourite staple of the series, Halo Infinite dropped its Forge mode at launch as well as campaign co-op. It’s no secret that 343 had a hard time pivoting this latest game in Microsoft’s flagship series, big delays causing concern among the fanbase.
However, when it finally launched at the end of 2021, it crushed expectations, including our own. In our Halo Infinite review Dom scored the Xbox exclusive a stellar 9/10:
Halo Infinite marks a clear moment in 343 Studios’ handling of the series. They finally have a grasp on what makes Master Chief tick, and they bring all of that knowledge to bear in often-spectacular fashion. While some issues nag, it’s clear that Halo Infinite is a brilliant new entry in the series, and one that makes this particular sci-fi FPS relevant once again.
We were left similarly impressed by its multiplayer offering. Let’s just hope the upcoming television series can at least capture some of that Halo magic.
