Modern Warfare 2 has a new trailer courtesy of Infinity Ward, and this trailer gives a first glimpse of the next Call of Duty. Much like the 2019 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare remake, Modern Warfare 2 is a remake of the 2009 original but with some changes to the story, and the levels being much more detailed. From the glimpse of footage familiar characters like Price, Soap, and Ghost all make an appearance.
Modern Warfare 2’s trailer also confirms that those who pre-order the game will get access to the open beta, though when that will happen is not confirmed. The beta will be running on PS4 and PS5 first. A couple of weeks ago, a leak suggested there would be three editions of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. That leak was right. The Standard Edition will get you the base game, the Cross Gen bundle will get you access to the game on current gen and previous gen consoles. Then there is the Vault Edition. That will include:
- Early access to open beta
- Battle Pass (1 Season) + 50 Tier Skips
- Red Team Operator Pack – Ghost, Soap, Price, Farah Operators
- FJX Cinder Weapon Vault
- 10 hours 2XP, + 10 hours 2WXP
- Ghost Legacy Pack – 12 Operator Skins & 10 Weapon Blueprints
It is now known that there will be a fully new release of Warzone 2.0. It’s a brand new version of the game released, as opposed to sweeping updates that add new themes and weaponry into the mix, as we saw for Black Ops Cold War and Vanguard. That does not mean Warzone will be shut down or anything, but likely that that version of Warzone will get fewer updates and content compared to Warzone 2.0.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will be released on October 28th for PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One. The game is available to pre-order now.
