GT7 update 1.25 will add these four cars tomorrow morning

GT7 Update 1.25 GTR

Polyphony Digital has revealed the new cars and scapes that will be added to Gran Turismo 7 with update 1.25. The patch will be released at 7AM BST / 3PM JST on 20th October, which works out as 11PM PDT on 19th October for the US.

Here’s the four cars that will be added:

  • Maserati Merak SS ’80
  • Mazda Roadster NR-A (ND) ’22
  • Nissan Skyline 2000GT-R (KPGC110) ’73
  • Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3 ’18

The Maserati Merak was originally released in 1972, but this 1980 SS edition has been souped up with 216BHP 3L V6 engine, thanks to an increased compression ratio, and that helped to increase the top speed from 139.8 mph to 155.3 mph. The other classic, the Nissan Skyline 2000GT-R ’73 was the C110 update to the C10 Skyline, but a thoroughly limited run as Nissan’s budding racing competitor. That’s thanks to the S20 engine which carried through to the car, while sporting regulations sought to bring down emitions. The C110 lasted just 3 months of production and with 197 cars built. The GT-R emblem that it was emblazoned with would go into hibernation until the R32 16 years later.

From one GT-R to another, the Nissan GT-r NiSMO GT3 ’18 was based on the 2015 GT-R Nismo model, improving body rigidity, allowing the engine bay to be lowered for a lower centre of gravity, and other refinements to the chassis.

Finally, thee Mazda Roadster NR-A (ND) ’22 is the fourth generation of this car, a motorsports base model of this popular Roadster. I’m sure it will be a lot of fun for some single model racing in GT7.

GT7 Update 1.25 New Cars

Aside from the cars, we also have two new scapes called ‘Autumn Leaves’ and ‘Whitby’.

We’ll have to wait until tomorrow to see the patch notes, which will likely introduce new Menu Books, Extra Books and a smattering of new World Events to take part in.
