Steelrising will be getting some DLC on November 10th, Spiders and NACON have announced. The DLC is called Cagliostro’s Secrets and it will pit players against Cagliostro’s Mesmer-inspired machinery, with new enemies to fight against as well as new weapons to unlock as well. The crux of the story here is finding out what really powers the King’s automatons.
Steelrising’s Cagliostro’s Secrets adds one new main quest, a new level set in Hôpital Saint Louis, a new boss, five new weapons, two new characters, and several new side quests. Players will not be able to access Cagliostro’s Secrets right from the beginning of Steelrising. To get access to the DLC the level “Bastille” needs to be completed first.
The story of Steelrising is as follows, “Set during 1789 in an alternative Paris, where the French Revolution has come to a halt: the people’s revolt is severely repressed by an army of automatons, deployed on the King’s orders. Powerful and cruel, this army spares no one and violently punishes the rebels. Paris is on fire: men, women and children are systematically massacred. Aegis, masterpiece automaton of the engineer Vaucanson and bodyguard of the Queen, must save the French Revolution.”
