The PlayStation Plus monthly games for February 2024 has been confirmed by Sony, with this batch of games available to download and keep for all PlayStation Plus subscribers through the month. We already knew that Foamstars will be among this bunch, but what else is there?
What are the PS Plus February 2024 games?
As always there are three games on offer through the month, available from the first Tuesday, 6th February.
- Foamstars (PS5|PS4)
- Rollerdrome (PS5|PS4)
- Steelrising (PS5)
Foamstars is the big ticket game here, with Square Enix creating a fun looking, and bubbly 4v4 shooter. Yes, yes, it’s a bit like Splatoon, but there’s a few unique twists here, like being able to use your foam guns to build terrain and create your own vantage points, as well as game modes that can split up your team to different parts of the arena.
Coming from the makers of OlliOlli, Rollerdrome is another extreme sports game… where you’re in a retro-futuristic dystopian blood sport. It’s pretty rad, combining Tony Hawks with shooting up game show guards. In our Rollerdrome review, I said, “With easy-to-grasp (but tricky to master) extreme sports, over-the-top arena combat, and a sublime audio-visual aesthetic, Rollerdrome deserves its place in the pantheon of 70s sci-fi sports fiction.”
Lastly we have the French revolutionary soulslike Steelrising, where you play as an automaton in a steampunk alt universe. In our review, Gamoc said, “Steelrising’s Parisian setting and tireless robotic enemies help it to stand out from the growing Soulslike crowd, though its mechanical heart still ticks with the same carefully crafted and unforgiving style of combat. If you want a Soulslike with a bit of a difference, or maybe one that’s got an assist mode to help ease you into the genre, Steelrising is well worth considering.”
Can I still get the January 2024 PlayStation Plus games?
Of course you can! The PS Plus Essential games for January 2024 are available right up until they’re replaced on 6th February, and include the following trio:
- A Plague Tale: Requiem (PS5)
- Evil West (PS5|PS4)
- Nobody Saves The World (PS5|PS4)
