The December Update for Gran Turismo 7, patch 1.27, is rolling out tomorrow morning on 15th December, adding five new cars to the game, including the Ferrari Vision GT that was revealed at the Gran Turismo World Series Finals earlier this month.
The Ferrari Vision Gran Turismo is the latest concept car made for the Gran Turismo series, a design collaboration that Polyphony Digital engaged in with numerous manufacturers since the release of Gran Turismo 6 (and arguably before then with the Red Bull X2010 created for GT5).
Ferrari’s effort features the V6 engine that has been developed for their 499P Le Mans Hypercar, but derestricted from the sporting regulations. It’s then combined with three electric motors to give the car permanent all-wheel drive and a gamer pleasing 1337 BHP.
The concept could theoretically complete a lap of Ferrari’s Fiorano Circuit in under 70 seconds, going 10 seconds faster than the current flagship, the SF90.
You’ll be able to buy the Ferrari Vision GT at Brand Central from 23rd December, but people that were answering the quiz questions during the World Finals and got the Day 4 question can get early access from 15th December.
Naturally taking a bit of a back seat to the Ferrari (not that it has any, as a single-seater!) are four further cars, which are:
- Alfa Romeo Giulia GTAm ’20
- Bugatti Chiron ’16
- Chevrolet Corvette C8 Stingray ’20
- Toyota Celica GT-FOUR Rally Car (ST205) ’95
The last notable addition is Norway as a featured Curation in the Scapes photography mode.
We’ll surely see some new events added to the World Map, perhaps some new Menu Books of challenges, and a smattering of bug fixes. Keep an eye out here for the patch notes tomorrow morning.
