The Crew Motorfest revealed by Ubisoft, releasing this year

The Crew Motorfest

The Crew Motorfest is the next game in the The Crew franchise, Ubisoft has confirmed. The game has been confirmed for PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Amazon Luna. Players are leaving the mainland of the USA behind and heading to the Hawaiian island of O’ahu, with Honolulu being a key place to drive through.

The description of The Crew Motorfest says, “The Crew Motorfest has settled down in one of the most breath taking and vibrant places on Earth: the island of O‘ahu in the Hawaiian archipelago. This is the perfect playground for players to have fun together in with their vehicles: racing through the city streets of Honolulu, going down the ashy volcano slopes, adventuring deep in the lush rainforest, drifting along the curvy mountain roads, or just chilling on the sunny beach. On their own or with their crew, they will be able to explore the entire island behind the wheel of hundreds of the most legendary vehicles.”

While we do not have a release date there is an opportunity to play The Crew Motorfest early with Ubisoft’s Insider Program. Initially, this closed access to the game will be on PC, but eventually will be extended to consoles. To register interest and a chance to take part in The Crew Motorfest early access you will need to go to the official website.

A developer diary called Behind The Wheel has also been released, which gives a background on The Crew and now where Ubisoft hope to take The Crew Motorfest. There will be no doubt there will be comparisons between The Crew Motorfest and Microsoft’s Forza Horizon series, with both game using car festivals in exotic locations to set the scene for all sorts of racing and vehicle based events. There are more details on the insider program too.
