Stellar Entertainment are currently advertising jobs for their new game, a AAA arcade racing title built in Unreal 5 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. which will be “disrupting the racing scene”.
Steller Entertainment have worked on Need for Speed: Remastered, Need for Speed: Unbound, and Burnout Paradise: Remastered, so strong links with EA. Their latest Tweet has heavily implied their new game will be part of the Burnout franchise.
“#StellarWithoutContext: Our way of giving you (kinda weird ) insider intel about what we’re working on, without actually telling you what we’re working on…” they tweeted, along with a picture saying “POV: You are about to read ended”.
“And the bosses *still* haven’t issued any take downs! Happy days!” they add. Now, as fans of Burnout will know, ramming your car in the back of another vehicle and scoring a takedown is one of the key features of the franchise.

Another Tweet has a picture with the words “I am loving your tunnel”, tunnels being another well known feature of the Burnout games.
The last Burnout game was Paradise Remastered which came out way back in 2018 and despite looking a little dated was a total blast, especially as EA had relicensed all the original tracks in the game including a total bop from Avril Levigne. I gave it a sold 8/10 in our review noting that “The racing is sublime, the stunts are spectacular, and there’s always something to do round the next corner.”
The PS3 and Xbox One were blessed with a great line up of arcade racers with Burnout joining the likes of Blur, Split / Second and Motorstorm, but the those types of ‘all out mayhem’ racers have been replaced by games like The Crew which is rather more toned down.
Personally I would love spectacular smashy-crashy arcade racer, so let’s hope Stellar Entertainment are making a new Burnout. There again, “You’re about to get rear ended” could mean something rather more saucy and the might be working on the next Leisure Suit Larry title. Eww.
