If you are playing the very excellent Astro Bot you may have encountered a very annoying bug. Although the game autosaves your progress it seems that for some people the file is not completed saved unless you properly exit the game, if you just shut down the PS5 or crash, you may lose your save.
The work around for the Astro Bot save bug is simple if a little annoying. All you have to do is exit out to the main menu while you are playing to ensure the data is saved. If you have a long gaming session then we suggest you do this quite regularly just in case you hit any issues.
We, like many sites, gave Astro Bot our top score of 10/10.
“Just as with Playroom, Astro Bot is a game that absolutely celebrates all things PlayStation, aimed at anyone and everyone who loves this console and the games that have made it what it is,” said Nic. “Whether you’re an old timer or a young kid with their first console — or better yet, a combination of the two — there are dozens of hours of fun to be mined here. It’s a fun, easy-going romp through PlayStation history, and absolutely impossible to play without a smile plastered to your face.”
Astro Bot currently has a Metacritic score of 94 with 100% positive reviews, a nice win for Sony which they probably needed after the mess that was Concord.
Team Asobi have yet to comment on Astro Bot save bug but as there are many reports of it out in the wild I would expect a patch to be released as quickly as possible.
