Nintendo finally did the thing! They announced the Nintendo Switch 2 with a suitably quirky little trailer showing the physical differences from the original, and a side dish of new Mario Kart to really get the hype train rolling. It’s going to be a long wait until April, though…

Away from the reviews, I discussed the Nintendo Switch 2’s reveal and how playing it safe was probably the right move from Nintendo, even if it’s not as exciting as another paradigm shift. Meanwhile, Dom’s been playing Indiana Jones and thinking of it in terms of the serials that inspired the original films.
And I had a quick preview of Drop Duchy, a quirky roguelite deckbuilder Tetris-y strategy game. Indie game wordsalad, to be sure, but it does actually work.
Rounding things out as always, What We Played featured Marvel Rivals, Kingdom Come: Deliverances and Dynasty Warriors: Origins.
