I guess the fact that this is a video games website has given away the answer to the question in the headline, but I bet you a cheeseburger that someone is into a bit of Spanky Bat-A-Swing somewhere in the world.
So then, the ridiculously named Spanky Bat-A-Swing (which seems to have been called Spanky’s Battleswing in a previous life) is s a 3D rhythm-based platformer, inspired by 1930s cartoons and swing music. That makes two games based on that rather obscure genre this year, the first being Mouse P.I. For Hire.
The plot finds Spanky, an inventive bat, travelling through Metronopolis’ three districts in an attempt to usurp Metrognome, the new Mayor of the city. The game is a rhythm action title so you wil have to stay on beat to chain together a high-scoring attack combo. Boss battles include DJ Cobwebb, an eight-legged spider that operates his own mausoleum club, Blue Vines, a giant howler monkey, and Maestro Bonobotti, a “glittering” opera star.
