Sony have dropped a new trailer for Marvel’s Wolverine, but it is all cinematic with not a single second of gameplay. Still, something pretty to look at for a minute and half, eh?
Sony had previously announced the release date for the highly anticipated Marvel’s Wolverine game, which be created by Spider-Man developers, Insomniac. The game will launch on September 15th, 2026, exclusively on PS5 and was number one in our “Most Wanted Games of 2026”.
Wolverine will be available only as a Standard Edition or a Digital Deluxe Edition. The latter version is slightly more expensive at £79.99 and comes with the following swag:
• Marvel’s Wolverine
• 5 exclusive suits: Incredible, Savage, Night Hunt, New Leather, Age of Apocalypse
• 5 exclusive claws: Smooth-Edged Claws, Hollow Blade Claws, Serrated Spine Claws, Tapered Claws, Thick Claws
• 4 Technique Points
• Pre-order incentives: Classic Brown Suit early unlock, Reflective Claws early unlock, 4 PlayStation® Avatars
Those who purchase the Standard Edition can access this content by purchasing a £10 upgrade. Of course, there are those who prefer to buy physical copies of their PS5 games. Unlike Grand Theft Auto 6, Marvel’s Wolverine will include a disc rather than shipping a box with a digital code inside.
In case you missed it, Sony shared an extended Wolverine gameplay trailer during its PlayStation State of Play June 2026 broadcast. In this new trailer, debuted by creative director Marcus Smith, Wolverine is on the trail of some mutant kids who have been captured by cybernetically enhanced soldiers known as The Reavers.
