El Prez announces that Tropico 7 will release January 28th

January is one of those months where it is cold, dark, damp and a point where you are most likely thinking of a tropical escape. If that is something you will want but also won’t want to leave the comfort of your home, you will be able to get your hands on Tropico 7. It will be available from January 28th, and the first gameplay trailer has also been released. It is a slight delay for the release date as the original plan was to release in 2026.

Tropico 7 will have five campaign maps to play across with a new nemesis making an appearance, and that is Victoria Guerra. There are also 20 sandbox maps, 10 new scenarios, and a random map generator to keep things fresh. Different edicts will be available to issue depending on the political standing of El Prez, alongside how the people and the different factions vying for power react to the decisions you make. The military side of Tropico has also been updated for Tropico 7 that gives more control over military units to deal with rebels and foreign armies.

Tropico 6 Review

In our Tropico 6 review, Nick said, “Tropico 6 feels like the kind of game that you can fall back on when every other game gets a little too stressful. The economy can be tricky to get started, but you can soon start to kick back and take it easy. If you are finding it too hard though, turn on unlimited money and enjoy your break. It’s almost like going on holiday to the Caribbean, which is fitting really.”

Tropico 7 will be available for PC, Xbox Series XS, and PS5.
