Velocity, Futurlab’s all-conquering minis title (review here) is now running on Vitas regardless of whether you’re in the UK, Europe or the US.
The game was working with UK PSN accounts on Sony’s new platform just fine, but some “paperwork” has been sorted that means the scrolling shooter/puzzler can now look its best across the pond, too, although US Vita owners will still need to copy the game from a PS3 for the moment.
Aside from a 10/10 review from Dan here and a similar score over at PSNStores, Velocity grabbed a 9 from Edge and a 9 from IGN, who said the game is “one of the best downloadable games on the PlayStation Store.”
The game naturally also works fine on PS3 and PSP.

Velocity is a cracking game that proves imagination can still produce something different for staid genres. It might not look like Ikaruga, but it doesn’t have to, and its a welcome return to 8-bit enemy movement patterns, rather than the bullet hell, throw ’em at you, overload that seems to predominate… (my review – http://psp2roundup.blogspot.co.uk/2012/05/velocity-psn-review.html)
Origami Killer
Will download it over to the Vita today. Doesn’t feel right playing it on a PS3, would rather portable :)

Origami Killer
It’s a temporary change, new helmet designed by Death in Flamez ;) The helmet’s covering my new face, suggestions for a new avatar?

Will pick this one up but I wonder if Pixeljunk monsters will be on the Vita this week?
nofi
it’s already on, at least in EU.
bigbaldwolf
Really? I couldn’t find it last week. I’ll have to have another look
bigbaldwolf

Pixeljunk Monsters on the Vita? I know its on the PSP but a version for Vita?
Sympozium
If they ever did a version that was like a full PSN game with trophies and adds Vita features rather than Minis, it’ll be soo good to buy again.. even if the first was free the first time on PS+ Hee-heh.
Velocity is awesome, its a fresh addition to the Shoot’em up genre. Hope to see more.

I’ve been playing it on my Vita for a few weeks now. It looks and plays brilliantly.
