Okami HD Dated For The End Of October

Capcom have dated Okami HD for October 31st in Europe, the U.S. getting their hands on the game a day earlier.

The shiny new HD upgrade will cost PlayStation gamers £15.99 and will come with PlayStation Move and trophy support.

  1. Wo wo woh, this doesn’t fit into by gaming calendar at all!! I guess I should be pleased it’s out so soon, I must jiggle things around to enable time for this! Price is a little high though

        Lots of Paid for DLC… That should have been in the game in the first place.

        Wouldn’t actually surprise me if they had the main character on the store as a DLC add on.

  2. The price doesn’t do much for me, leaves a bad impression.

    • I wouldn’t mind if it was for a physical copy, but seems a lot for an HD downloadable remake.

      • Yes, this doesn’t fall into my £6 & under category at all! :)

        There of course has been an exception made in THPS HD, but i did play THPS 1 & 2 to death, so that was much more justified.

        £16 for a title i know very little about other than ‘some people enjoyed it’ is pretty much a no go for me.

      • It’s great, but since you don’t know first hand you’d be better off picking up a PS2 copy for the sake of (our beloved) trophies, in case you don’t like it!

        I may just fire up my PS2 copy instead.

      • if it goes on sale at a future date though, i’d really advise getting it, it is an outstanding game.

        and hopefully there will be a demo so you can try it and see for yourself.

      • Well as usual they’re probably just following whatever price it is for some major new game in MS points probably 1600 these days I’m guessing.

        Okami is great but there’s just way too many games to go through from here to December.

      • I totally agree Sympozium – what with all the other games about to come, and given the price, I may well leave this out sadly.

  3. or november or december for europe, if we’re lucky.

    anyway, personally i thought the original looked great, so i’d be happy to stick with my ps2 copy, though my ps2 is set up in my bedroom and i’d have to play it there rather than my living room on the big tv.
    and trophies don’t matter to me either so that’s not really a factor.

    maybe if there’s a sale and it’s a bit cheaper i might pick it up, like i did with Beyond Good And Evil HD.

    still, Okami is such a wonderful game it’s good to see the HD remake coming out so more people can play it.

  4. I’m a massssive okami fan, so this is an instant buy for me. I’ve never been mad for any HD remakes of games, as I’m still bitter about the removal of PS2 backward compatibility, but the thought of okami in HD makes me drool!!
