Could sales been down due to people waiting for next gen rather than use the upgrade path?
Kamokazi-UK
That’s exactly what i’m doing. I know that there are some great deals on trade in’s but i’d rather keep the cash and drop it at the end of the month when I pick up my PS4.

Same here.

There’s no doubt sales for these titles will experience scatter because of the new consoles. However, ACIV is also a split-gen game, so you could argue that it’s apples and apples when comparing it to BF4 (also a split-gen title).
Of course, they’re two very different games so with different audiences so …
Scotty34
Your right there, my only thought would be that people would buy ACIV for the single player campaign and helps to pass the time till the new gen. BF4 would be a game that could be played over the next two years so maybe everyones more willing to wait 3 weeks and not have the hassle of upgrading.
As you said two very different games, though BF4 will suffer more in these last few weeks imo.

I’m sure AC4, BF4 and FIFA 14 will see a good chunk of sales when the next gen consoles launch. The cheap upgrade is a nice deal but I’m sure a lot of people are waiting for the next gen version anyways.
Can’t wait to get AC4 for the PS4. :)

Be interesting to see what happens to charts on the weeks of the net gen launches

I predict FIFA will be top when Juan is released and then probably Killzone when the PS4 is released.

BF just isn’t my bag and i’m not hugely interested in the AC series either but i might pick up AC4 later on for PS4 when there is a lull in the game release schedule.

I love how many people were saying Battlefield 4 would be the one to outsell Ghosts this year, and it couldn’t even beat Assasin’s Creed. lol

I’ve dived in on AC4 and battlefield 4… Pretty much because they are PS4 upgradable… I must be impatient!
