We knew it was coming but now Nintendo has disclosed some new details and a release date for the Phoenix Wright and Professor Layton mash up. First things first, it’s being released, as you might already know if you’re a reader of headlines, on March 28th in Europe.
The gameplay features both styles from the represented series, with Layton attempting to solve a mystery by unravelling the solutions to puzzles and Wright representing the subject of that mystery in court.
The action follows a young girl, Espella, being chased by witches and accused of being a witch herself. Layton and Luke must solve puzzles and uncover the truth about the city of Labyrinthia while Phoenix Wright and his assistant, Maya will prepare for the trial of Espella. It’s said to be “brimming with supernatural events”, which sounds quite Laytonesque but also promises much for the staunch Ace Attorney fan to enjoy.

It looked very cool on the Nintendo Direct, not even Iwatas incredible voice ruined it. As I’m getting a 3DS tomorrow, this is firmly on my radar.
I don’t have much history with any series, but this seems right up alley.
