FIFA and PES go head to head this week, in a way, as FIFA 15 arrives digitally across various days for both PS4 and PS3, for £54.99/€69.99 on either platform, while archrival PES 15 has a demo landing on the store. (You can also grab FIFA 15 on PS Vita, but it’s the legacy version, so doesn’t feature any fancy new gameplay features)
Footballers are joined by detectives on PS4, as Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishment lands on the PS4 at the price of £49.99/€54.99. You can also grab CastleStorm Definitive Edition for £14.99/€17.99.

I can’t really advise on the skin packs as i’ve only picked up the first one. I’ve picked up all the texture packs though and i quite like the City pack but the Fantasy texture pack is my new favourite. Anyway, 99 cents, or less than a pound it’s well worth it for the refreshing changes to the visuals.

If you like your RPGs to try and overwhelm you by chucking everything at you to begin with, it’s great. The battle system is very good, and you get to build ridiculously impractical guns. You just need to really make sure you understand how it all works very early on.
And it’s a nice long game. At least until your second game, which you need to do for the trophies, for some reason I can’t quite remember. Then it takes 5 or 6 hours. There’s always something strangely satisfying about a game letting you try it all again with stupidly overpowered characters and seeing them take down enemies in one hit when they were causing you problems 50 hours ago.
