Sony’s 12 Deals Of Christmas promotion has been updated once again, and this time The Evil Within is the game that has been put on sale, while some regions get Bound By Flame instead on PS4 or MGSV: Ground Zeroes. If you’ve not played The Evil Within yet then you can read Tuffcub’s review on it here. I only played a bit of it at EGX and got a bit told off for daring to look at the upgrade system, instead of killing monsters and hiding in cupboards.

Still, got a box from the display that made an appearance in TSA Live to conceal our special guest. On the Vita side of things The Walking Dead: Complete First season is up for grabs.

  1. Yet again another “deal” you can get cheaper on disc. The Evil Within currently £22.49 on PS4/XBone from Game. These 12 deals have been very poor so far.

    • Well, as much as you’re right, and I nearly picked up that exact deal today in Game, I’m tempted to get this just for the ease of not having to change discs!Just because it’s cheaper in Game, doesn’t mean this isn’t a good deal. It’s 50% of it’s RRP and for a fairly new, big release retail game, I don’t think you can complain about the price.

      • True, viewed on its own you can’t complain about half price. When you consider the bigger picture, there’s better deals available.

      • You can also sell or trade-in the disc copy which is another plus. Im not sure this is the kind of game you’ll want to revisit again and again tbh. Probably complete it once and move on.

        Even at half price, it’s still too expensive. 75% off and maybe. Even then, id still prefer a retail copy.

  2. Picked up the limited edition with the sexy hologram and notebook for the above price from Game. Is a strange game to be sure

    • Me too, havent got around to playing it yet… or Alien.. or Unity properly :(

  3. Why the hell is the pricing structure quite evidently screwing UK?

    You can argue all day about currency changes etc but this is quite clearly “let us screw the UK for the sake of it”.

    PS4 – €29.99/£24.99/AU$39.95

    So for zero reason, they’ve bumped up the PS4 version by a fiver when elsewhere it’s the same for both versions.

    Completely mental.

    • Didn’t notice that, well spotted and a good point. That can’t be blamed on “pricing for the whole of EU”.

  4. Tried Evil within during a game lock in and was promptly told off by the Bethesda rep. I was exploring like I do and found the save room. Not the survival horror I was hoping. Personally I’d prefer Metal Gear to Evil Within.

  5. I got my xmas deal yesterday at Gamestop, Murdered Soul Suspect limited edition with journal reduced to €19.99. I’ll watch out for a similar deal on Evil Within.

    • just finished murdered,cracking little game only thing is i fu**ed myself over!
      when you get to the last knockings it tells you you cant go back,bugger me i pressed ok to carry on.
      i missed a few of the collectable,but hey ho i will play it again to find them.

    the fat man is gonna struggle getting down my chimney this year.
    what with this, alien isolation, and i am tempted to get shadow of mordor for £26,looks like i will be gaming well into the new year.

  7. I’m so annoyed. I bought this, along with wolfentstein and shadow of Mordor, in Amazons Black Friday. I paid £25 for the standard edition.

    Lesson learnt for next year when Amazon inevitably do their Black Friday deals again.

  8. Poor offering on the Vita the walking dead seems to get a discount every 8 weeks or so! When it comes to PS4 I try and keep.it physical…
