With E3 firmly behind us, it’s time to get back into our normal podcast groove. Unfortunately Kev and Lewis weren’t able to make this week’s recording for various reasons, but Tuffcub and Teflon stepped into the breach, and brought plenty to talk about too.
We kicked things off with the news this week, focusing in on the pricing debate around Destiny: The Taken King, as well as the issues that Batman: Arkham Knight had at launch. The PlayStation Plus edition of DriveClub also got a look in, before we moved onto What We Did, where Tuffcub took Wander apart.
If you haven’t read his views on Wander then you really should, but to say he wasn’t impressed would be a huge understatement. Teflon then guided us through the anime Steins;Gate, which I really need to take the time to check out, before I moved us back into classic gaming by talking about Master System title Gain Ground.
Finally we rounded off this shorter than usual episode by answering your questions.
- Please send us questions via email to podcasts[at]thesixthaxis.com.
- You can also tweet questions to @TSAPodcast.
This podcast features strong language, jokes in poor taste and adult themes, if you’re offended by that then we recommend that you don’t listen to it at all.
- As usual, you can grab the MP3 file here (right click to download).
- You might want to get it (when the RSS catches us) on the RSS feed, here.
- We’re on iTunes, when iTunes feels like updating. You can also leave us a review and subscribe there, if you want to be particularly lovely.
- Or, if SoundCloud’s more your sort of thing, we now post the podcast over there too, which you can see embedded below.
- We’ve launched ourselves on YouTube, with audio-only videos if that’s easier for you to access.
- Finally, the podcast now appears on Stitcher as well.

Sounds like you really want to love Wonder. I’d be raging at shelling out for something so obviously unfinished so I think you’ve shown amazing patience and empathy with those poor programmers.
Good podcast peeps and thanks for the Steins Gate recommendation, I’ll be watching that now!

The interview was a real PR distater for Bungie/Activision. I think we all got the idea fo the guy talking about the DLC to be like a total dick ;/ And the 20$ for the three shaders, a couple of emblems. Sick. Looks like I’m going to stop playing Destiny in a couple of months. A game I’ve played from day one. Lately got my first Gjallarhorn. Was happy like a child. Sad. Just sad.
Yup, the Driveclub PS+ version is out. That’s good. Glad more people will know how good the game is and more people will post challenges, times and be in multiplayer lobbies.
In fact to what you guys were laughing about. The online things working in Driveclub are just enormous. If you want to know what I mean you will need to play it simply. When you see how focused it is on inn-race challenges, ghosts and constantly keeping everything that happens on the track online – you will understand. If this would be working from day one without a problem, we would call it a true next gen social racing experience.
Steins Gate sounds very interesting, but I don’t actually like VN’s to be honest. I think I’m going to go with the anime instead.
Haha, the comment about Lewis at the end :P and Peter will be back?! Great news.
Nice podcast. Enjoyed the talk about the Destiny DLC. Still fighting within to buy it or move on with my life from Destiny.
