Mafia III was announced a few days ago and a now we have the worldwide reveal trailer for the game. There’s not a smidge of gameplay but it’s fairly lengthy and sets the tone for the title.
Unfortunately for some the trailer is setting the wrong tone, or more precisely, the wrong skin tone. The YouTube comment section is packed full of people saying the main character would not be in the Mafia due to his race. If they took time to read the official synopsis (which I have posted below) they would discover he isn’t part of the “traditional” Mafia.
Orphaned as a child, Lincoln at last achieves a semblance of family with the city’s black mob, finding the surrogate father and brother he has longed for. But when Lincoln’s new family is betrayed and slaughtered by the Italian mob, he becomes fixated on revenge and wages a brutal war against the Italians, disrupting the balance of power in the seedy underworld of New Orleans. As the story progresses, Lincoln allies himself with other criminals and builds an empire and a new family of his own that transforms the city.

given the 60s setting, this could have an awesome soundtrack.
and the game could be good too. ^_^
actually i saw a snippet of gameplay on a video on Youtube, and it actually does look pretty good.

Looks pretty interesting from this trailer. I still need to play Mafia 2. It’s just sitting on my PS3 waiting to be played with all my other plus games. I WILL find time to play them all.

As long as it is a Mafia game and not a GTA clone with the Mafia tag, it’s all good.
