There’s another game release date to mark on your calendars on 18th March 2016, which is when we’ll see Nathan Drake and friends appear on the PlayStation 4 for the second time, six months after the Nathan Drake Collection releases on the console.
Alongside the announcement, Sony have trotted out a number of different buying options for the collectors out there to consider. One big takeaway from all of this is that Uncharted 4 will see the series’ first single-player add-on as part of the Triple Pack – this seems to be another term for a season pass, with two multiplayer packs alongside the single-player.
Another is the appearance of something called “Naughty Dog Points” which can be redeemed for “multiplayer content and character upgrades”. Hopefully this is a purely in-game currency and not bought with real money, but we’ll be reaching out to Sony to clarify.
The Special Edition includes a steelbook case, an art book, sticker sheet, a multiplayer skin and Naughty Dog points, while the Libertalia Collector’s Edition ups the ante with a 12″ Nathan Drake statue and a lot more multiplayer bonuses.
On the digital side of things, you get more of the Libertalia’s MP stuff and the aforementioned ND points. It’s the Digital Deluxe Edition which adds the Uncharted 4 Triple Pack season pass to the equation, alongside a bunch of other online skins.

Ah good, a reason to be cheerful on “What age am i now and how the hell did that happen!?”-day. ;)

I should have known, when they say Q1 2016, it’s always “End of Q1 2016”. Never mind, if you need the time to make a great game then by all means take the time, Naughty Dog. I trust you. *marks date on calendar*
I had a similar feeling with The Witcher 3 delay, and that turned out better than I could have imagined. I should be satisfied with MGSV until March anyway ;-)

Same. They say Q1 and I think ‘Hey, January 1st insn’t so bad’ and then they announce the release date as March 31st at 23:59:59. That’s just mean.

If the dlc is as reasonably priced and as good as Left Behind then that’s fine for me.
With them talking about it this early, I do think that it was ready to release Q4 of this year, delayed because of the NDC and the jam packed release schedule. Either that or they’re being Naughty Doggies and developing dlc before the game is done.

I always thought dlc like this was made along side the main game and released seperately because it wouldn’t be ready in time for the main game’s release day. So if the main game was originally supposed to be released at Christmas shouldn’t that now mean that the dlc will be ready before the new release date and therefore be included free with the main game?

I know it’s kind of early to ask but does anyone know the release date for these collectors editions and whether they are going to be released in the UK?

Nothing like announcing DLC for a game that’s still over 6 months away. It’s always a dick move in my opinion. Still getting the game though.

I wouldn’t be surprised if it introduced some sort of free to play point system.

Naughty Dog,
BAD DOG! VERY BAD DOG! You do not announce DLC for UC4 before it’s out. No. Bad dog. Look what you did! Bad dog! Bad boy! Very bad boy!
I know it’s the norm nowadays but it pees me off when DLC is announced before the damn game is out. I kinda can’t play games knowing that a small part of it is missing due to DLC as a result of it being announced. I’ve not played ME3 as a result of it. Just stop with the freaking DLC before the game is out!
But it will be interesting to see how Troy Baker voices Nolan as Drake and Nolan North as Troy as Drake’s brother. We just need Steve Blum and my top 3 voice actors are in the game! That and Steve Blum is needed to do more voices due to that deep voice of his.

That statue is horrendous!!

I’m lost as to why people are so upset at the DLC being announced early on. I understand how other devs have screwed things up but Naughty Dog gave us Left Behind.
If Naughty Dog want to dive into a tangential story (in Uncharted) as development continues, then so be it. Calm your tits, people. They know what they’re doing, usually. :D
Also… on other sites people are already saying things like “they’ve cut a level just to sell it as DLC”.
Grow the F*** up! *rolls eyes* Wow, I’m glad TSA’s community at least reacts in a half-decent manner.

What?!? They’ve cut out a level to sell as DLC. Well they can F%&^ right off then. I won’t be buying this Day one anymore. Those arrogant p^&*ks will have to wait until Day 2! That’ll show ’em.

Do you have an IGN account? :-P
