Dontnod’s Next Game Is A Vampire RPG Based On The 1918 London Spanish Flu Epidemic

Dontnod have posted further details of their next game, Vampyr, an action RPG in which you play a surgeon who also happens to an undead blood sucker.

“We wanted to tell a truly gothic story about vampires, s far cry from the glittery vampires you see on TV and in movies nowadays,” explains Game Director Philippe Moreau.

As well as “authentic make shift weapons” you will also be able to use your vampire powers as you explore and investigate the streets of London and fight both humans and mythical creatures.

“One of the most interesting things is that everyone you meet in Vampyr could be a target, if you want,” said Philippe. “But each kill will have consequences on the fragile streets of London. You’ll both see those consequences, and feel them. They’ll have an effect on the story, often immediately, and in the long-run.”

Dontnod say the first in-game assets will be arriving “soon”, for more information on the game head over to the PlayStation Blog.
