I don’t know about you but this sort of thing is really starting to get on my nips. Remember when the Nathan Drake Collection was sold with the tempting carrot of “exclusive access to UNCHARTED 4: A Thief’s End multiplayer Beta”? Well it turns out you didn’t need to buy anything to get access, everyone can play the beta this weekend.
As we have seen from recent sales of Final Fantasy Type-O, a lot of people bought the game just for demo access, so how many people bought the Drake collection to get access to the Uncharted 4 beta? Surely they must be rather miffed now.
And yes, I’m also looking at you Square Enix, “Guaranteed access to the Hitman Beta” if you buy the game. Or just wait until it arrives on PlayStation Plus on 11th March.
Anyway, the Uncharted 4 multiplayer open weekend starts on 4th March 2016, at 5.00pm GMT/6.00pm CET, and ends on7th March 2016, at 7.59am GMT/8.59am CET.
You can pre-load the beta right now by following this link and you don’t even need to buy the Nathan Drake Collection!

It’s worth noting that when it says everyone it really means everyone. No PS+ sub required which is pretty nifty.

There was a beta around Christmas for those with the collection.

How many people bought the Drake collection for access to the Uncharted 4 beta?
Answer, no one. These exclusive beta access offers are just little marketing ploys, like tidbits of dlc for pre-ordering, etc.. No one buys a game specifically for these features, they are just little persuaders to tip people over the edge and say “go on then”.
Anyway, like blokey upstairs says… There was an exclusice beta access thingy at xmas.

Nope they did, in a survey taken by those who bought Final Fantasy Type-O, nearly 80% said they bought it just for the demo (which is what i referenced above). Even if a fraction of those did the same of the Nathan Drake collection, that’s still some annoyed people.
And yes, the wording on Nathan Drake is very clever looking at it in hindsight, it does say “exclusive access” rather than “guaranteed access”. The Hitman pre-order on the other hand is “guaranteed access”.

Unfortunately, due to a case of Nathan Drake, the party has been cancelled on account of the entire venue somehow being destroyed with a single cocktail stick.
