Harmonix has announced that it will be adding online multiplayer to Rock Band 4 later this year. There will also be a major expansion in the autumn though details on that will not be revealed until E3. The studio has confirmed that it will be working on enhancements and improvements as well, which will allow players to play together regardless of which songs they may or may not own.
One of the enhancements will where bands pick songs together instead of just one person choosing. Harmonix also confirmed there will be new features that have never been present in the Rock Band series before, but again we’ll have to wait a couple of months until details are shared.
