A Big Digital Game Sale Hits The EU PS Store Sale Today

There’s a wide reaching new sale on the EU PlayStation Store, with discounts on a range of digital games. With PS+ discounts in effect, these including SOMA for £4.09, Alienation for £8.39, Dangerous Golf (which has just been subject to a major patch) for £8.49, and even a rare sale on The Witness, which has dropped to £21.99.

This week’s Deal of the Week also features a pretty decent price for Mad Max, which has come down to £14.99.

Here’s a list of all the games included, and a smattering of prices we’ve checked, but you’ll have to head to the PS Store itself for all the prices, though the specific page isn’t live just yet.

  1. *looks at wallet, looks at PS3, looks at data* FECK! That said, out of the games on there, kinda bit lacklustre. Would have thought the Digital versions of Resident Evil, God of Wars, Killzones, a few older ACs would have been included. Also, no PS1 classics included?

TO THE STORE TO CHECK THe oh etc…. joke about having to sell Gazzagb into slavery to pay for a few PS1 classics due to the pound being worth less then a bag of chips.

    • Resident Evil stuff is still on sale as part of the Big In Japan sale. You’ve got until 11.59 tonight to get them if you want them.

      • I have no spare cash nor the data to spare. *sulks whilst burning the site to the ground again*

  2. BUY SOMA. NOW.

    • AND SHADOW OF THE BEAST

      • AND VALIANT HEARTS

      • Paid for by Sony, Doritos, Mountain Dew,beard cream, beard insurance.

    • I would buy SOMA now, but I already did this morning. And Sony won’t let you buy it twice.

Unless I build a time machine, go back in time to this morning and tell myself to hold off on buying it for a few hours so I can buy it now to keep a man with a broken Capslock key happy.

Didn’t notice Shadow of the Beast on sale though. That might tempt me as well.

      • Tell me when you have finished it. Love to hear what everyone thinks of the final few moments (but not the post credit scene – that kinda ruins it)

      • I’ve had a little play now, and it’s all good so far. Sort of. A quote from Philip K Dick at the start is a good sign.

But that frame rate! Horrible drops to about 3fps at times. Which isn’t good when there’s a Thing You Musn’t Look At coming after you.

      • Its not THAT bad.. it does judder a bit tho.

      • Having finished it now, I liked both the endings. Not sure if it really needed the bit after the credits or not. It’d be more fun to leave out the happy ending and just end with the credits. Some people might just think “Well, that was a horrible, depressing end”, but some might also think “…but there’s a happy ending implied as well”.

No problem with the post-credits scene really, just wasn’t necessary.

As for the rest of the game, definitely very good. Could have done with being a bit more challenging though. A walking simulator with some trivial puzzles and some bits running away from or sneaking around things that could have done with being a lot harder. (Apart from that section where the frame rate plummets and makes it horrible. Died several times there)

And Philip K Dick was obviously a massive influence on it. Which is a good thing.

If you’ve not taken advantage of the huge discount at the moment, I’d highly recommend you do.

    • Ordered SOMA and Shadow of the Beast :)

They’ve been on my wishlist for a while and couldnt resist at that price. Almost paid £24 for SOMA a few weeks/months ago.

    • You remind me I should play SOMA some more, as I bought it in the last sale and never got further than the first 2 hours…

And Valiant Hearts, I bought and never even played…

  3. Games are getting so boring .. This Next gen is killing my gaming experience. . no good boxing games . no good racing games .. not enough classic games remastered ….

    • I have generally been enjoying this Gens games. Although completely agree with you about racing games!

Last one i really enjoyed was burnout paradise, some of the need for speed games made by critereon were fun tho, just nowhere near as good as burnout

  4. Alienation is a good game, even better at half price.

  5. they’d have to pay me £3.99 to play tony hawks hd.

Legend of Korra for less than 4 quid is tempting.
so is Mad Max at 15 quid.

    ooh, what to do. o_O

  6. Not tempted by many of the games.

Feel disorientated these days. Finished Uncharted last weekend, and the impact on my life was quite severe. After about 10 years of following Nathan around the globe a couple of times, that was that.

Don’t feel like playing any games. Am currently thinking how to get a house in such a location. They’re not on sale though.
