Sony are offering a hefty introductory discount on PlayStation Plus subscriptions for the next nine days, slashing 50% off the price of a 12-month subscription for new and returning customers.
The discount is available until 11:59PM GMT on 19th December 2021, cutting the cost from its regular price of £49.99 down to just £24.99. That’s even cheaper than the Black Friday price we had a couple weeks ago.
Simply head to this page on the PlayStation Store if you want to take advantage of the offer.
PlayStation Plus as a service is best known for the monthly games that are handed out to subscribers, but it’s also required for online multiplayer in premium games, and comes with other perks that include exclusive discounts on the playStation Store, some add-ons and packs for a selection of games, and 100GB of cloud storage so you can back up your save game files.

For December 2021 the PS Plus games lineup includes:
Godfall Challenger Edition is a special late-game version of the action RPG that launched alongside the PlayStation 5 last year. There’s three game modes to try out and you’ll have access to some of the better loot through playing it. Alongside that, Mortal Shell is a great take on the Soulslike genre, while LEGO DC Super-Villains provides all the family friendly brick bashing that you could expect.
There’s also the continuing giveaway of three PlayStation VR games, celebrating 5 years of PSVR. Available until 3rd January are:
