News Snatch: Life Is Strange, Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite, And The Gold PS4

Happy birthday dear Snatch, happy Birthday dear Snatch, happy birthday deeearrr Snaaaa-aatch, happy birthday dear Snatch (and many more!).  Yes it’s our three hundredth birthday, making News Snatch only marginally younger than Theresa May! There will be a special “What If…” Snatch coming up this weekend celebrating some of the more bizarre stories we have covered over the last eight (!) years, but today it’s business as usual, starting with someone throwing a Nintendo Switch from 1000ft, because that’s what people do on the Internet.

A few days ago veteran developers Idol Minds has a bit of a revamp and turned in to Deck Nine, and announced their new game engine.

“With the creation of our new, proprietary toolset StoryForge and the shift in studio focus, we are removing the shackles from our creative team and bringing together our two passions; meaningful storytelling and rich gameplay,” said Jeff Litchford, Vice President at Deck Nine.

However, during their re-branding they briefly posted what seems to be artwork and screens taken from a prequel to DontNod’s Life Is Strange.

The new mission statement from Deck Nine seems to fit the storytelling found in Life Is Strange but we’re a little worried about someone one other than Dontnod handling the game.

“Deck Nine have signed a partnership deal with a leading AAA videogame publisher and are deep in development on their first title, a brand new addition to a critically acclaimed franchise,” stated Deck Nine, so this does seem to be real.
