Atlus Announces Persona 5 Anime Series, Coming In 2018

Persona 5 will be getting its own anime series and will be a follow-up to the 30-minute, one episode adaptation called Persona 5: The Daybreakers which was released alongside the game last year in Japan.

This looks to be particularly interesting, as the anime will focus on expanding the story of its large roster of characters that were introduced in the latest installment of the game, instead of directly following the game. This has been revealed for Japan only at present, but the likelihood of an English sub or dub is pretty high – I’m sure Crunchyroll or Netflix will be all over it! – or failing that, a fan translation will almost certainly pop up. Either way, the anime will launch in Japan in 2018.
