Ubisoft are having a promotion for two of their biggest games. You can now play five hours of Ghost Recon Wildlands as part of a free trial across all formats, whilst For Honor is getting a free weekend where you can play the game as much as you want from 10th to 13th of August. See the image below for the exact times.

As usual, any progress you make in the games will carry over if you decide to purchase the full version. For Honor will be on sale during the weekend, check you local store for the exact offer. For the free trial of Wildlands, click here for Xbox One and here for PlayStation 4.

Should I point out your error? If I do, will you sneakily change it and make me look silly?
10th to 13th you say? Before telling us to see the image below. That quite clearly says it starts at 9am on the 10th and finishes at 1.59am on the 15th.
The 15th isn’t the 13th. Because that’s how numbers work.
Then again, Ubisoft obviously haven’t got a clue what a weekend is either. Has a weekend ever started on a Thursday and finished on a Tuesday??

In TC’s defence, it IS 10th – 13th across all regions and formats (PC generally having a shorter duration). As he pointed out, it differs on specific formats and regions, ie 10th – 15th you highlighted. /Pedant off.

It also says quite clearly in the bottom corner 10-13. So shush.

So we can blame Ubisoft then? Seems reasonable.

Always blame Ubi. :)

Having downloaded the free weekend trial of For Honor, I’m struggling to work out what they hope to achieve.
Game freezing because it’s out of sync (apparently), people leaving games (probably because of that) and having to wait while it migrates hosts, and even games ending randomly with some error message.
If your network code is that bad, it might be best not to let people try it before buying.
And collectables in the story mode? Which appears to just be a very long tutorial. What were they thinking? Oh, wait. They were probably thinking “We’re Ubisoft. We’d better have those. Can we fit some towers in too?”
Oh well. It’s saved me some money.
