Google Play Pass announced, same price as Apple Arcade but with many more apps

Google have announced their answer to Apple Arcade and it’s almost identical apart from one factor, Apple gives you around 100 games but Google is giving you over 350 apps. You will note that is ‘apps’ rather than just games as alongside Stardew Valley, Reigns: Game of Thrones, and Titan Quest, you also Photo Studio Pro and “apps that power productivity”.

The pass is only available in the US at present, other countries are “coming soon”, but like Apple will cost $4.99 a month.

The pass can be shared with up to five other family members, so six users in total, and you will need an Android device with Play Store version 16.6.25 and above, and Android version 4.4 and above. The games and apps included will be advert free and will not have any in-app purchases, most of the games are premium titles but there are a couple of free-to-play games that have have had the in-app purchases removed.
