Rust has received an update on PC today as Facepunch gets ready to add vehicles to the map which could change the game quite a bit. The studio has also changed some functionality when it comes to the turrets. Turrets originally needed specific ammo but now they’ve become modular meaning you can put any gun in the turret. The turret will then take on the gun characteristics. For example, if a gun is loaded with incendiary ammo then the turret will fire incendiary rounds at targets.
Aside from the modular turrets, a new ring road has been added to the island which will have smaller roads coming off of it that will lead to monuments. On the death screen, a life stats page will show which includes data such as kill counts, distance covered, weapon accuracy, and damage is taken/healed. On Steam the Rich Presence function has been added so people in your friends list can see what you’re doing in Rust. Those who like a bit of music will be pleased to know that there will be experimental support for MIDI pedals.
