Yuji Naka and Naoto Ohshima have joined Square Enix and within the publisher have created a new studio called Balan Company. The first game that the developers are working on under the new name is something called Balan Wonderworld. You can see that there is quite a lot of inspiration from the Nights franchise. What is Balan Wonderworld though? It has been described as an 3D platformer across a lot of unique stages, and players will have quite a bit of choice as to
which character to play as.
The official description can be read below:
Twelve different tales await players in the bizarre and imaginary land of Wonderworld. As the star of the show you can use powers from 80 different costumes while exploring labyrinth stages, filled with a myriad of tricks and traps to get to the heart of each story. As you journey through this land between fantasy and reality, you must find a way to bring balance to others and yourself.
Balan Wonderworld will be available in Spring 2021 for Xbox One and Xbox Series X, and it will be a Smart Delivery game so you will only need to buy it once to enjoy across both generations. Balan Wonderland has also be confirmed for PS5.
