Stock checkers suggest a “massive” restock of PS5 consoles on Amazon UK and Smyths this week

A number of stock checkers on Twitter are reporting that both Amazon and Smyths will have a large number of PlayStation 5 consoles for sale sometime this week. A couple have already been sold today on Amazon but there are reports of up to 46,000 consoles waiting in the wings. That seems an awful lot, but even if it’s half of that you should have a good chance to get a shiny white PlayStation 5 console.

The links you will need are:

If you are an Amazon customer you can speed things up by adding the consoles to your Wishlist right now and buy straight from there rather than going to the page.

Last week UK retailer Currys PC World have opened a priority pass system for those who want to buy a PlayStation 5. You will need to fill in a bunch of details including your address and then you will be added to draw, as soon as stock is available in their stores (not online) then you have the chance to get a pass.

This will contain a unique PS5 buying code along with details of the local Currys PC World store you must go to an pick up the console. The passes are only valid for 72hrs so you will need to keep an eye on your email when stores open. You must be over 16 to apply for a pass and you can only enter once.

This lady is very excited as she’s already used her PS5 Priority Pass.

  1. Further tips if you want to get one from Amazon…

Yes, put it on your wishlist and get it from there. Be warned that the “add to basket” option may not be there, and you might have to do “See all buying options”. Even if there’s only 1 option and it’s Amazon. They seemed to do that when I got mine, possibly as an anti-bot feature?

If it goes wrong before you buy it, quickly click the link to go back to the home page. You should have a PS5 right there as “recently viewed”. Click that, add it to the basket again. And repeat as many times as necessary until you get one. They lasted about 5 minutes last month, so if you get there on time you may well get lucky.

I’d also recommend https://twitter.com/Ps5Instant as a helpful Twitter person. Seems to be as accurate as others and has a Youtube stream that shows the results of his stock checking bot and gives you a warning when they’re in stock. The livestream comments may be handy and quicker too. That’s how I managed to get mine.

If there’s more stock than last month, you might have 10 minutes to get one.
