Back in 2019 at ExileCon, Grinding Gear Games made a serious of announcements. Amongst, those announcements the studio confirmed that sequel to Path of Exile was in development. However, since the announcement of Path of Exile 2 things have been quiet regarding its development. That is until now as Grinding Gear has released a new trailer showing gameplay and the different environments players will explore.
If you want more, that trailer is not the only footage Grinding Gear has released. There is also an almost 20 minute look through a gameplay walkthrough. This footage takes place in the ancient dunes of the Vastiri Desert, according to the studio. It also shows two new weapon types that will be in Path of Exile 2, those being Spears and Crossbows.
Path of Exile 2’s campaign runs alongside the campaign of the first Path of Exile, adding seven new acts that adds to the story of the world. The story of Path of Exile will lead to the Atlas endgame which will be shared with Path of Exile. All expansions that have been created over the last six years will be compatible with Path of Exile 2.
