With Jane Foster having only just touched down in Marvel’s Avengers, fans are already speculating who the next hero could be.
Following a rather awkward interaction over on the official Xbox Twitch channel, it looks like She-Hulk is preparing to join the game’s cast of playable characters in the near future.

To celebrate the launch of Jane Foster, Lead Designer, Brian Waggoner, appeared on a Twitch livestream with guest host TechniqTV. You can catch a clip from the stream below when, unprompted, Techniq casually refers to She-Hulk, asking viewers if they want to know a “fun fact”.
Whoops! This happened on the official Xbox Twitch channel today. pic.twitter.com/yDPqb0kKW0

“My acting coach is actually the voice of She-Hulk,” Techniq blurts. “I won’t say her name, because I don’t know if that was public knowledge yet. I think it is, it was announced.”
“Nope. Nope,” Waggoner replies, caught unaware by the accidental slip. “We’ve never announced She-Hulk […] we’re working on our next hero, we haven’t said who it’s going to be yet […] There will be a time for that. We’re focused right now on kind of celebrating the work the team did on Jane”.
Oof. While it’s perhaps not the best way to have a character revealed, some Marvel’s Avengers fans will remember a news story from last year confirming She-Hulk’s upcoming appearance. This also came from leaker, Miller, who confirmed that Krizia Bajos will voice Jennifer Walters (aka She-Hulk).
Adding She-Hulk marks another opportunity for the game to mirror what’s popular in the Marvel Cinematic Universe right now. With Jane Foster having arrived just in time for Thor: Love & Thunder, we could see the release of the next Marvel’s Avengers hero coincide with Disney’s upcoming She-Hulk TV show.
Tatiana Maslany, who is known for the excellent Orphan Black, has been cast as Jennifer Walters/She-Hulk. Mark Ruffalo will also reprise his role as Bruce Banner/Hulk, and Tim Roth returns as Abomination when the show hits the Disney+ streaming service on August 17, 2022.
Marvel’s Avengers is currently available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, as well as Google Stadia.
