LBP2 ‘Confirmed’, Move Support

Dutch website tweakers.net are reporting that not only is LittleBigPlanet 2 a go, but that it’ll support PlayStation Move.  Running the report through the magic of Google (my Dutch only stretches as far as the required elements of a trip to Amsterdam) the report hardly holds back with the bold claims: “Sony is working on a sequel to Little Big Planet,” it says, following up with the news that it “will support the PlayStation Move”.

The report references an earlier video on the site, in which Sony Benelux’s Folkert Langeveld discusses PlayStation Move and Sony’s strategy for the new motion controller. He also mentions some titles, one of them is the sequel to Sackboy’s endearing PS3 adventure. “Sony has not been hurried on a sequel to the platform game from Media Molecule,” it says, “indicating that there’s one in progress.”

To be honest, all this smacks of a confusing mixture of interpretation by Tweakers and a little bit of ambiguity from the not-infallible online translation tools. Basically, until Sony themselves say “yes” I’d be tempted to just cross your fingers but don’t hold your breath.
