The kingdom is in crisis as a mad King has overrun his realm with monsters. It’s up to you, as an awakening Disk Knight, to wield cyber-medieval weapons and bring an end to the tyranny.
It’s a roguelite adventure, but bring a tile-matching aspect to the action, as coloured tiles feed in from the left side of the movement grid and you need to draw on the power of threes, fours and more. This charges up your weaponry allowing you to attack the enemies.
The game features four distinct biomes with eight bosses in total, and the aim is, as always, to get as far as you can before you’re defeated. Each run earns you progress to unlock new items, weapons and more Disk Knights to change up your playstyle.
“Chivalware is not just a homage to one of gaming’s most beloved tactical adventures, but aims to evolve the genre with fresh new gameplay twists that will keep even veteran strategists with the sharpest reflexes on their toes,” reads the press release.
A demo for Chivalware is now live on Steam, presenting the first Disk Knight and the first biome to play through and get a taste of what awaits in the full game.
