Nintendo has announced a few more games that are coming to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack in August, with Super Mario Sunshine and two previously unreleased Virtual Boy games joining the libraries of retro titles.
First up are the two Virtual Boy games, D-Hopper and Zero Racers, which will be added on 4th August. Nintendo’s even dropped a slick new trailer for the duo.
This duo rounds out the lineup of Virtual Boy games, which now includes pretty much everything there ever was for the system. They are:
- 3D Tetris
- D-Hopper
- Galactic Pinball
- Golf
- Jack Bros.
- The Mansion of Innsmouth
- Mario Clash
- Mario’s Tennis
- Red Alarm
- Space Invaders Virtual Collection
- Teleroboxer
- V-Tetris
- Vertical Force
- Virtual Bowling
- Virtual Boy Wario Land
- Virtual Fishing
- Zero Racers
Following that, Super Mario Sunshine from the GameCube will also join Nintendo Switch Online’s library on 13th August.
It’s a long overdue addition, considering that Mario Sunshine was previously featured within the Super Mario 3D All-Stars limited edition bundle sold for the 35th anniversary a few years back. In other words… the work to port and emulate Mario Sunshine was done years ago! Still, it’s better late than never, and checks off another of the list of anticipated GameCube games being added to the service.

There’s just one game left from the previously announced schedule of GameCube games coming to Switch Online, with Pokémon Colosseum due out sometime later this year, but there’s still plenty more games that could be added to the service, from Star Fox Adventures to Super Smash Bros. Melee, Mario Kart: Double Dash, the original Animal Crossing, some of the most popular Mario Party games and more.
