HoYoverse has revealed Nodusfall, a new co-op action game that draws from many mythologies for its dark fantasy world. Check it out.
Set in a world where the divine has crumbled, players have to become Weavers, banding together to forge bonds and defeat the earth-shattering enemies, and restore order to the world.
Nodusfall cites inspirations from across mythologies, but from a gaming perspective, many will draw parallels to the likes of Dark Souls and Elden Ring for the dark fantasy setting and visual style. The mythologies that you face will be tied, however, to the different parts of the game world you’re visiting, from beasts of Eastern mythology in one region to Western dragons in another. Because of needing to unite this melting pot of ideas, this will be an original story.
Tackling the beasts, you’ll need to form squads and team up with other players, selecting different Styles and Skill combinations for characters and finding synergies between different playstyles. Keeping the pressure on enemies will force them to reveal their weaknesses, which you can then exploit to deliver a finishing blow, gathering resources from them to unlock new Skills and weapons.
