Halo: Reach Finished; Achievements Released

Bungie have announced that Halo: Reach, their final title for the franchise, has been completed and released to Xbox cirtification, ready for release next month. Over the weekend, the company also released the list of achievements that the game will have you sitting up late and night to unlock.

Writing on the Reach developer blog, Joseph Tung, the game’s executive producer talked about finally completing the game: “It’s been a long haul getting the game to this point but the team is incredibly proud of the game and can’t wait to play with everyone on September 14th.” He also talked about the ongoing Reach tour: “A few folks from Bungie will be travelling all over the world in the next few weeks to demo the game: Brian Jarrard and Niles Sankey are currently touring Europe, I’ll be headed to Oceania soon, and Chris Opdahl and David Allen will be taking Asia by storm in August. If you’re in those neighborhoods, look us up.”

Over at the Bungie Weekly Update, the full list of achievements (and the corresponding graphics) were released. Naturally, there are the expected ones – “A Monument to All Your Sins” requires you to complete the game alone on Legendary – but I think my favourite is “Lucky Me”, awarded for a triple kill whilst using a jetpack. You can see the full list in the post. In that post you can also see some of the Forge maps that the team have been working on in their free time, as well as a whole bunch of pictures of Bungie’s all new studio, and it looks pretty damn snazzy.

  1. Cool…should be awesome. I really enjoyed the beta and am looking forward to the full game :)

  2. *certification not cirtification

I still have to complete the Halo 3 campaign, I find the Halo’s so tedious, I’m not even sure I’ll bother with this, though it does look better than the rest with the new forge mode and improved firefight.

  3. Forge world looks awesome

  4. Not sure about this, I’m only going to be in it for the SP experience and after borrowing ODST from a friend, I cant say I was impressed.. Think I’ll be watching reviews first.

  5. Now I just have to wait for Bungie to release the ps3 version…(in my dreams…)

  6. Most of the achievements don’t seem overly difficult to get.
