UK Charts: Week Ending 2nd October

It’s all change once again as FIFA 11 answers the age old question of “can a football beat a car?”  F1 2010 drops down to second place, but Dead Rising 2 clings on to third.  Sports Champions continues its slide down the chart, and Prince of Persia is still hanging on with almost unbelievable resilience.

It’s good to see some variety return to the UK charts though.

  1. At Eurogamer, the guy at the F1 with wheels said that F1 outsold every other title in the top 10 combined.

I imagine that this week, FIFA 11 will repeat that feat. :P

  2. No surprise to see FIFA 11 go straight in at num 1.

    • yup, if nobody expected dat, i’d hav ROFLed till i cried!

  3. Bit surprising to see F1 2010 in second actually, and not in the bottom half of the top ten. I wonder if Codies were expecting these kind of sales. Would be interesting to see how its sold across the consoles as well, as they were banking on slightly more being sold on PS3.

  4. Halo is sliding a lot more quickly than I’d expecting and with COD and Assasins Creed out soon it will probably still fall further.

    • Its the top single format title so it can’t be all bad, I’d have thought it will be in the top 10 for a while longer yet.

  5. matybe its just the halo enthusiasts that are buying it…which means that everyone that wants it will buy it straight away and then it can slide down the charts. Its still an absolute system seller for MS tho!

  6. Wii sports stiil??
    Modern Warfare 2 Still??

Anyone who doesn’t have sports champions yet should pick up a copy

Yawn, another EA yearly rehash and people rush out in their millions to get it. How long til you just subscribe to FIFA/EA for a yearly license and then at least you dont have to go to the shop

  7. COD 29 to 20 …. wtf?!?!?

    • loool
possibely coz of those late buyers who gotta spare bit of money for mw2 AND blak opz

  8. and coz, da new edition of mw2 on ps3 has just come out, da “Greatest Hits” version perhaps.

  9. top ten seem to be very commercial releases to me (imo) good to see rdr still up there though
